Welcome to the OCAD campaign homepage!

For those just visiting, we’re a group of students who attend the Ontario College of Art and Design. Last year we started a Dungeons and Dragons group through our school’s Games, Anime & Manga Association and we plan on continuing the adventure this year. We come from a variety of programs ranging from illustration, design, and fine art and have come to enjoy D&D as another creative outlet. Last year our games take place at OCAD about once a week, this year’s schedule is yet to be finalized.

The objective of this site is to create a complete campaign setting wiki, track future changes from game to game and create a reference document for everyone to refer to over the course of the campaign (more info here). Feel free to browse the wiki and the adventure log. It’s a work in progress (obviously) but we’re adding to it all the time. If you want, leave comments, criticism or suggestions in the comments section.

News:

(Sept. 19th, 2010) Major updates to just about all sections. Added new entries to the Adventure Log, updated the wiki including new sections, and added new NPCs.

(Sept. 6th, 2010) Updated the main page with new info and edited welcome message.

(Aug. 21st, 2010) Get your character sheets ready, the new school year is rapidly approaching! We can decide a date for our first game of the new school year after we handle the rush of Doujin club stuff for Opening Week. I’ve been gradually making small changes to the wiki over the summer, deleting old outdated stuff and adding in a few little new things. Feel free to poke around to find the new content. It might prove useful in the next game.

(Apr. 26nd, 2010) I don’t think we’ll be playing any D&D this summer while everyone’s out and about for summer holidays, but let me know if you’re in town! Maybe we can set up a smaller game or summer campaign! Otherwise, have a great break everyone and see you next year!

(Jan. 17nd, 2010) Happy 2010 everyone! I hope everyone’s had a great break. It’s time to sharpen your swords, prep your spell books and pull on your dungeon delving boots! Our campaign restarts this Thursday, on January 21st, 2010. 6th floor, more details on what room we’ll be in will come when I know what’s available. Just a suggestion, you may want to review your character sheets and re-familiarize yourself with the rules before game day. You wouldn’t want to be rusty at combat in case I throw a level 5 ogre and a squad of elite orcs at you. Not that you guys would survive that level of encounter anyway, but just saying…

(Dec. 2nd, 2009) Skirmish game tomorrow, 5:30ish, 6th floor. Also, I’ve made a nifty button link for our wiki. You may have seen it in my signature on the forum. You can get one of your own here.

-————————————————————-

(Nov. 29th, 2009) For those of you who were at last Thursday’s game (Carlos, Torben, Sandro, Ya’ana, and Jordan) you guys are awarded 240 xp each for the monsters you defeated. In addition to this, Jordan, you get 15 bonus xp for using your rogue and scouting skills in excellent fashion to stealthily take out an orc guard without being noticed. We’ll gloss over the part where you botched the same job on his partners. Ya’ana, you get a bonus of 30 xp for expert leadership and combat tactics, more than once saving another party member’s skin. You must have actually learned something of use when you read all those bardic lore books on ancient battles. Demitri and Arielis, you both only get 171 xp since your characters weren’t present at the game. Lastly, Ya’ana volunteered to write this weeks Adventure log. Upon completion she gets an additional 100xp. Carlos, you did it last week so you can’t volunteer to go again yet, but anyone who hasn’t done it yet can volunteer for next game. Post a comment in the wall if you want to write it up.

(Nov. 27th, 2009) I made a new editing and style guide under “misc articles” in the wiki. It can be found here.

-————————————————————-

(Nov. 27th, 2009) I’m putting forward a new format to suggest changes to a wiki page. Instead of immediately going ahead and editing an article, use this tag under the article with your proposed change:

bq. <yourname:> Your proposed change.

I have an example at the bottom of the page here.

Old News: I’ve been reorganizing the wiki to make it easier to navigate. I’m also editing out redundant stuff and working to create a more efficient hierarchy so you guys get the important stuff right away. Comments, criticism and suggestions are always much appreciated.
